What is Alphabet Stock?

Alphabet stock refers to a separate class of common stock that is tied to a specific subsidiary of a corporation, and is distinguished from the parent company’s stock by the use of letters in its classification system. These stocks may have different voting rights, dividend payouts, and other terms compared to the parent company’s stock. Additionally, the performance of the subsidiary may not necessarily reflect the performance of the parent company, and vice versa. As such, Alphabet stock may be considered a separate investment opportunity and can be traded independently on the stock market.
